Connect Membrane to Claude.ai

A two-minute, one-time setup. Once connected, Membrane shows up in your Connectors list and you can talk to it from any Claude chat.

Before you begin
Make sure you've finished the three prerequisites on Before you start: Membrane account, advertiser access, and an eligible Claude plan (Free allows one connector; Pro / Max / Team / Enterprise allow unlimited).

Step by step

Add Membrane as a custom connector

  1. Open Claude settings

    In Claude.ai, click your profile avatar in the top right, then pick Settings.
  2. Go to Connectors

    In the settings sidebar, choose Connectors. You'll see any connectors already installed — that's fine, Membrane will join the list.
  3. Click 'Add custom connector'

    At the bottom of the page, select Add custom connector. This opens a small form asking for the connector URL.
  4. Paste the Membrane URL and submit

    Then click Add. Claude will open the Membrane sign-in page in a new tab.

  5. Sign in with email + one-time code

    On the Membrane login page, enter your email. You'll receive a 6-digit code — type it in and submit. Claude will pick up the connection automatically and return you to the settings page.
  6. Turn Membrane on in your chat

    Open any Claude chat. Click the + button (below the message box), choose Connectors, and toggle Membrane on for this conversation. That's it — ask Claude to create a campaign.

Now just describe what you want to create.

Every campaign is a conversation. Start with something like 'Create a text survey about our new packaging' or 'I want to run a video ad for our spring launch' — the AI handles the rest.

If something doesn't go to plan

I don't see 'Add custom connector' in Claude

On Claude Free, custom connectors are limited to one at a time — if you already have one installed, remove it first. On Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise plans, the button should always be visible. If it still isn't, check with your Claude workspace admin — some enterprise settings restrict custom connectors.

The sign-in page didn't open, or it failed

A few things to try, in order:

  • Check your browser isn't blocking pop-ups for claude.ai.
  • Make sure the URL is exactly https://mcp.nfthing.com/mcp — no trailing slash, no http://.
  • Remove the connector from Claude, wait a few seconds, then re-add it fresh.
My OTP code didn't arrive

Check your spam folder, then request a new one — OTPs expire after about 10 minutes. Make sure you're entering the email associated with your Membrane account. If you just created the account and still don't see a code, email support@nfthing.com.

Claude says Membrane tools aren't available in this chat

You need to toggle Membrane on per conversation. Click the + button in the chat input, open Connectors, and flip the Membrane switch on. You can verify by asking Claude “what Membrane tools do you have?” — it'll list them back.

My session expired and I need to sign in again

Membrane keeps you signed in for a week of inactivity. After that, Claude will prompt you to sign in again through the same email-OTP flow — no need to re-add the connector.
