Limitations
Constraints to know about before you run your first campaign — file formats, timing, session windows, and a few things Membrane deliberately doesn't do.

Most short video ads are well under 50 MB. If yours is above the limit, export at 1080p or lower and bring the bitrate down.
Timing you should expect
Upload links: 1 hour
Every upload link expires 60 minutes after the AI generates it. If you miss the window, just ask for a fresh link — it's instant.
Video ads: 3–5 min processing
After upload, videos go through transcoding so they play smoothly across devices. You can't flip the ad live until processing is done.
Surveys: live instantly
Text surveys and image surveys have no processing step — the moment you turn them on, they're live.
Image survey rules
Minimum 2 images
Round-robin, binary, and image-slider surveys all require at least two images. One image isn't a survey.
Name your images
You can rename each image on the upload page. These names show up in your results report, so a descriptive name pays off when it's time to read the results.
Things Membrane doesn't do
Campaigns can't be deleted
There's no delete button — by design. You can pause any campaign (stop collecting responses), but the record stays in your list.
Core metadata isn't editable
Title, description, category, tagline, and reward are fixed after creation. If you need to change them, ask the AI to create a new campaign. Questions can be replaced in an existing survey.
Videos can't be swapped in-place
If you want a different video on an ad, create a new campaign. The original video is what that campaign runs with.
Audience geography
Membrane's respondent pool is primarily India-based at the moment. If you need a different region, talk to the Membrane team before launching.
Sessions and sign-in
You stay signed in to Membrane from your AI assistant for about a week of inactivity. After that, your assistant will ask you to sign in again with an email OTP — the connector itself stays configured, so you don't need to redo setup.
